the ways we can be good to each other, and avoid playing zero-sum games against each
other, as happens so often with men and women who base relationships on a bunch of
preconceptions and rules about image and status etc, instead of on friendship, affection,
commitment, loyalty, recognition of mutual self-interest, etc. Marriage should not be the
happy ending of a story, but the beggining of a happy story.
My preferences: I prefer young, pretty women. Young, so she won't be in too much
of a hurry to have babies right away, and pretty, because that brings out some of my
better qualities. I would like to maintain long friendships with such women, who should
know enough English to be able to understand me. Eventually, I would like to marry one,
who is not just looking for some already successful, self-made repository of wealth, but a
man of potential greatness who she believes in, and would treat as an investment, working
with me to achieve mutual goals, so that when we do, we will have done it together. So
that I will not, in success, be robbed of the ennobling pleasure of gratitude.
